PARENT-TO-STAFF SHOUT: “We just got the most amazing phone call from Mr. Matt LaPoint from Whitmer. He said that he thinks our son might be graduating off of his IEP because he’s absolutely crushing his freshman year. He told us that our son is not using any of his accommodations, is on the honor roll, is organized, and is doing absolutely amazing. It was the nicest call and we just couldn’t be more thankful. It got me thinking about all of the educators who got him to this place, including Mr. Colon, Ms. Lindsey, and so many other amazing Greenwood teachers. They were such a huge help to our son during the earliest years of his education and I want to thank all of them for all they did to make sure he got started on the right path, including beginning with an IEP. He has turned out to be such an incredible and respectful, young man, and I have to give credit where credit is due. Thank you all so much!” What a thoughtful gesture to send to a SUPER DESERVING team!

She sacrificed her own personal time with her family to help a colleague going through a rough patch. The English Department at Whitmer is lucky to have someone like Megan at the helm who is willing to take on additional responsibilities, allowing our students to continue to have a quality education. Thank you for stepping in and for all of the sacrifices you have made!" Thank you Ms. K for your unwavering dedication & commitment to inspiring and empowering students, while also taking care of your colleagues!

STAFF SHOUT: "When I began working at McGregor, Mrs. Messick was one of the first to welcome me with a smile. She immediately offered a helping hand, and continues to do so each day. I have never seen one person juggle as many tasks as Mrs. Messick does on any given day, and she does it with grace. She is considerate, unselfish, and gives so much of herself to the school, the staff, and the students. Thank you Mrs. Messick for all that you do and the difference that you make. McGregor is lucky to have you!" Ms. Messick is such a warm welcome ANY day at McGregor!

STAFF SHOUT: "Trinity Sharp is an amazing KIA at Silver Creek. The kids adore her and she will go out of her way to make sure they are having a great day and fun time learning. She has the sweetest demeanor with them and loves watching them learn new things and accomplish tasks. KIA’s are an essential role in the classroom as extra instructional support for the teacher and students and Trinity displays that daily. Trinity is in her sophomore year of college majoring in Education and her experience as a KIA is an amazing opportunity for learning the roles of the classroom and needs of students before graduation." Trinity is a born educator who is gaining valuable experience AND changing students' lives! Way to go, Trinity!

STAFF SHOUT: "Since Courtney Gensler has joined our Shoreland staff as a Panther Room teacher, I have really seen a big improvement in her students. They have matured so much! They have made so many gains. Running in the pumpkin run, walking in the hallways quietly, engaging with other students. Courtney goes above and beyond for her students. She always has their best interest at heart. It is a pleasure to work with Courtney!" No better endorsement than someone saying that students have grown because of YOU. 💝
