*NOTE FOR THIS EVENING

It's National Administrative Professional Day and our Secretaries and Administrative Assistants are the BEST!

HAPPY NATIONAL SCHOOL BUS DRIVER DAY!
We have the absolute best!

STAFF SHOUT:
"Kristy Aeschliman, has been a WLS - ESL teacher (English as a Second Language) for the past 24 years, where she has provided unparalleled instruction and support to her students, many of whom come to Washington Local Schools with little to no understanding of the English language. Not only has she lovingly helped thousands of students navigate our intimidating language, she has never hesitated to assist staff with locating and implementing the most effective tools, strategies & resources for improved communication and student success across the curriculum (as I can personally attest).
What Kristy brings to the lives of our K-12, ESL students is unsurpassed, as I have witnessed a caring exchange of genuine smiles, mutual respect, and ‘hopeful relief’ that pass between teacher and student, as they enter her classroom to begin their day. She is always willing and able to go above and beyond for staff and students alike, to ensure that each individual that she encounters is provided the necessary tools which are essential for success, not only in the classroom, but in LIFE!"
Learning the English language can be overwhelming, but having kind, supportive teachers sure makes it better! Thank you Ms. A!

PRESCHOOL PARENTS:

STAFF SHOUT:
"I would like to shout out Meadowvale first grade teacher Jen Bicanovsky. She does SO much for her students and goes way out of her way to make learning fun. Most of her directions are in rhyme and the students love it! It is very apparent she cares about her students very much. They are always reminded that each one is part of her school family. Jen is also known for being the most giving and thoughtful person. She really loves to give without ever expecting anything in return. If you don't know who she is, just look for the line of former students outside of her door each morning waiting to give her a hug!"
Ms. B is one-of-a-kind and among the most THOUGHTFUL people you'll meet!
We are definitely lucky to have her!

STAFF SHOUT:
"Lisa has been the custodian for the Whitmer Panther rooms for years. Today was her last day as she is moving to another building. She not only put pride into her work, she also has great relationships with each student and knew each one by their first name. She is truly one of a kind and will be missed dearly."
She is so kind and helpful. WE ARE ALL SO LUCKY TO HAVE MISS LISA!

😎BRIGHT MINDS WORKING!
4th graders in Miss. Browder’s class are ready to glow on the Math OST next week! They spent the day having a glow day while reviewing things they have learned this year and playing games!

STAFF-TO-STAFF SHOUTOUT:
"This is a huge shout out to Shoreland student, Ali, and Shoreland principal, Mr. Bott. To further connect with his student, Mr. Bott joined Ali in fasting for Ramadan during the entire month of March. Ali made sure to check-in daily with Mr. Bott and both became great accountability partners for each other. The daily conversations of perseverance, accountability, self-discipline, and integrity became so much more than fasting, leading to incredible life lessons for BOTH of them! Huge kudos to both of these gentlemen for going the extra mile, in and out of school!"
Adults who invest in kids' lives make a lifelong impact - and the rewards for BOTH are monumental! We love letting the student become the teacher! Way to go Mr. Bott!

Whether the day is up or the day feels down,
our paras are always the BEST around.
Measure on charts or track them on grids,
these loving employees are the BEST for our kids!
HAPPY SCHOOL PARA DAY!
