"Jessica Stripling is a Whitmer HS paraprofessional, a friend and an amazing co worker, who truly goes above and beyond for all students and is such a blessing to our school. ❤️ She has the biggest heart and shows every student love, kindness, patience, and understanding. She makes sure every child feels seen, valued, accepted, and welcome, no matter what challenges they may face. Her love for students shines through in everything she does, and she is always willing to lend a helping hand wherever she is needed. Not only does she make a difference in the lives of our students, but she also has a special way of reminding her coworkers how amazing they are, lifting them up and making them feel appreciated. She is a true encourager, a ray of sunshine, and a beautiful example of what it means to care deeply for others. Our school is a better place because of her, and the love she pours into everyone around her does not go unnoticed. We are so lucky to have someone with such a big heart making a difference every single day❤️"

PARENT TO STAFF SHOUTOUT:
"I just wanted to give an extra special thank you to Mrs. Heather Happeny (Para, Whitmer Middle School) for being so patient with my daughter and working with her. It’s really hard for her to trust adults and that seems to get her in a lot of trouble. She’s a lot of bark and no bite, usually very misunderstood. She absolutely hates parts of her day and the last few weeks it’s seemed to be a lot more tolerable for her and to my understanding the only difference is connecting with Heather. I know she’s a handful at times however I really appreciate the extra effort to be a safe space for my daughter 🖤"

🌟 Staff Shoutout to Stefanie! 🌟
I want to give a huge shoutout to Stefanie Dellaflora at Whitmer for always going above and beyond for students! Whether it’s providing snacks, shoes, clothes, or simply being someone they can talk to, she is always finding ways to make sure our students feel supported and cared for.
Some students specifically seek her out because they know they can count on her for a listening ear, encouragement, or a helping hand. She doesn’t just show up to do her job; she shows up for the kids, and that speaks volumes about the kind of person she is.
Her kindness, generosity, and dedication never go unnoticed. We are lucky to have someone like Stefanie who truly makes a difference in our students’ lives every single day! ❤️🐾

"I wanted to take a moment to recognize Whitmer HS teacher Sabrina Wilson for sending me a thoughtful email celebrating a moment of success my daughter had in class today. Her kindness in recognizing my daughter’s accomplishment and sharing that joy with me meant more than she may realize. Sometimes the smallest gestures leave the greatest impact. Thank you, Mrs. Wilson!"

What happens when high school students get the chance to ask the questions? In this episode, our superintendent sits down with three high school members of her Superintendent’s Advisory Council for an honest, student-centered conversation about life at Whitmer High School. The students take the lead, asking the superintendent questions, while she turns the conversation back to them to learn about their experiences, perspectives, and what it means to serve on the Advisory Council. From student life to school culture and having a voice in decisions that shape their educational experience, this episode highlights the power of listening, collaboration, and putting students at the center of education. Because at Whitmer, student voices matter!
