STUDENT TO STAFF SHOUT:

"Mr. Tom Lapoint (Whitmer math) is a great teacher because he goes beyond just teaching a lesson. He takes the time to build real, personal relationships with his students. His ability to connect with us makes the classroom feel comfortable and supportive, which makes it so much easier to focus and do our best work. He genuinely listens and cares about what’s going on in our lives, and that makes us want to show up and put in the effort. Because of the respect and understanding he shows, his class doesn’t just feel like school, it feels like a place where we’re valued and encouraged to grow. He notices when you’re off just by the look on your face and comforts you as soon as he notices, no matter what."

To see students as PEOPLE first is truly exemplifying "every student matters!"

PARENT TO STAFF SHOUTOUT:

"Mrs. Stormer from Monac goes above and beyond to create a warm, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment for all of her students. This year, my daughter has been learning how to study effectively and advocate for herself, and Mrs. Stormer has shown incredible patience, understanding, and dedication in guiding her through that process. She has provided a safe space for my daughter to share her worries and anxieties, offering reassurance and encouragement every step of the way. Mrs. Stormer has taken extra time to create personalized study tools and to teach new strategies that help my daughter grasp and retain information more confidently. Her kindness and commitment have made such a meaningful difference, and we are truly grateful for all that she does."

Ms. Stormer's quiet, steady way of leading is SO effective and warm!

Staff Shout:

"Big cheers to Mrs. Colleen Sergent, our incredible ELA and Journalism teacher! She launched the Jefferson Junior High Journalism program just last year, and it’s already thriving. Thanks to her vision and drive, The Panther Public has grown from a school paper into a true media outlet—complete with engaging social media pieces on Facebook and TikTok. Colleen turned an idea into something remarkable, giving students real experience in storytelling and media creation. Follow The Panther Public on Facebook and TikTok to see what Colleen and her students create next!"

Foraging into a new initiative like Journalism is no easy task, but Ms. Sergent makes it look effortless!
