WLS Student Wellness and DPIA Plan

Student Wellness and Success Fund (SWSF) Plan

We receive $1,214,152.35 for Student Wellness and Success funds (SWSF). We utilize our SWSF funds to pay salary and benefits for our five (5) school nurses, four (4) Health Aides, two (2) Promedica nurses, an administrator managing school attendance and truancy, and a security officer.

We partnered with Promedica for nursing services to meet the needs of individual students with significant health needs. This support allowed these students to maintain school attendance and to access the curriculum despite significant physical challenges.

In addition to providing health care in each of our school buildings, lessons on health and safety were provided, consultation with school staff members and parents, management of attendance and truancy as well incentives and reinforcement for attendance, and school safety.
