Welcome to the Wernert Elementary School Web Site!
We are very excited to have your child as a part of the Wernert Family! Wernert Elementary School has approximately 400 students in preschool through grade six.
The Wernert Wildcat Family welcomes your child to experience a caring, supportive atmosphere, where education is our first priority. Our teachers implement a rigorous curriculum teaching the Common Core State Standards in language arts and math and a fun, educational environment to learn.
The "PAWS to Make a Difference" theme teaches and encourages the attributes of pride, attitude, work habits, and self control. These attributes are modeled, taught and celebrated daily motivating students to strive for excellence in the classroom, on the playground, and in the community. The staff and students at Wernert Elementary believe that all of our actions should embody the district's adopted core values of courage, dedication, dignity, excellence, honesty, loyalty, respect, responsibility, service, teamwork, trust and gratitude.
The parent organization at Wernert (Wernert Parent Association) has planned a full slate of fun activities and events for the upcoming school year, and you are invited to become a part of this organization. For more information, contact that school office for the next parent club meeting.
We look forward to meeting all of our new families and welcoming them into the family that is Wernert Elementary School.
